Francie Pinkwater

Having been one of area’s top Realtors for many years, I am excited to be a Founding Advisor at Engel & Völkers Chicago North Shore – a community of like-minded full-time, professionals who are committed to be the best. Their dedication to excellence aligns with mine, and the opportunity to reach a market of potential home buyers beyond Chicago will directly benefit my clients.

My career in residential real estate started with the purchase of my own home. While looking, I discovered that my background in art and interior design enabled me to envision what could be done to improve and enhance each home. I closed my business, rolled up my sleeves and started rehabbing homes. From there, I transitioned into residential sales and never looked back. I loved serving as a Commissioner on the Design Review board in Highland Park where I developed a further interest in construction and architecture. I have designed the interior of homes in Philadelphia, Chicago, Tucson and Salt Lake City. It gives me pleasure to help others visualize how they can live in and decorate their home.

Having lived in Highland Park for most of my adult life, I have a deep knowledge of the community and what it takes to serve my clients. I love meeting people, helping them with their next chapter in life, whatever it may be, and we always have a little fun along the way. Out of respect for other people’s time, I am direct, efficient and candid. I view every client as a relationship, not a transaction. Selling a home can be an emotional experience. Knowing the market, managing expectations and maintaining a high level of transparency throughout the home buying or selling process ensure a smooth process.

I believe in a strong work-life balance as both are extremely important to me. I have been able to achieve this with my husband Stuart, raising two children and now we get to enjoy four grandkids. We enjoy spending family time, travel, going to the movies and Broadway shows, and trying new adventures.Probably the most impactful event that took place in my life was when I had cancer. I am a survivor! What I got from that experience is that every day is meaningful in both my career and personal life. Everyone is important and every relationship is unique. When I was battling the disease, I never stopped working; in fact, I was happy to be in an industry with people who care. It made me a better person, a harder worker, and especially grateful for the small things in life.
